The final episode of the season of Ms. Marvel was full of action and adventure, but among the highlights was the post-credits sequence with a wonderful character.
If she hasn’t tuned in yet or doesn’t want to be pampered, we suggest you stop reading now, as we’re heading into major spoiler territory. Following the climax of the final action in which Kamala (Iman Vellani) helped Kamran (Rish Shah) escape from the Department of Damage Control, she begins to adjust to her superhero role.
As she lays down on her bed, Kamala’s bracelet begins to spontaneously light up, so she gets up to take a closer look and inspect the peculiar glow coming from her accessory. When Kamala shakes her wrist, her bracelet reacts to her and throws it through her bedroom closet door.
Ms. Marvel, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel
But the person who emerges from this destruction isn’t Kamala, it’s her biggest inspiration, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). Somehow, the almighty Captain Marvel managed to switch places with Kamala in this commotion as she looks at the various posters showing her in the teen’s room.
The moment hints at what lies ahead for Ms. Marvel, as the episode’s credits hinted that she would return in The Marvels, an upcoming movie that will focus on Kamala, Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). While Captain Marvel’s clear reaction to the wall art surrounding her seems to confirm her identity, there’s also the possibility that it’s Kamala who transformed her appearance.
