Netflix has acquired the rights to distribute Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between 2020, an upcoming young adult romantic comedy. The film is based on the book of the same name, which follows Clare and Aidan, two high school graduates, on the night before they leave for college. Over the course of twelve hours, they relive their romantic relationship to try to answer the age-old question: should they break up before going to college? As they go through each event in their relationship, from the first greeting to making this decision, the audience will be taken on a journey of young love and difficult decisions.

Netflix has released the official trailer for its coming-of-age romantic comedy Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between, based on the best-selling novel by Jennifer E. Smith. After making a pact to break up before college, the trailer shows a young couple on one epic last date, revisiting all the moments that made their relationship so special. At the end of the night, they have to decide if their love can endure the next chapter of their lives, or if they should honor the pact they made and say goodbye forever.

The trailer shows two terribly optimistic young adults, Claire, played by Talia Ryder (West Side Story), and Aiden, played by Jordan Fisher (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power), as they meet for their last date. Aiden offers a bouquet of white lilies, funeral flowers, and they depart for their last night together before heading off to their respective colleges. In the trailer, the self-proclaimed “poster children of modern relationships” discuss the breakup pact they made long ago to sever ties before embarking on their college adventure. Aiden jokingly suggests that he is breaking up with Claire because he loves her, and takes her hand in his as she laughs at him. The idea is for the two to take a trip back in time, revisiting places that have held special places in their hearts over the years to commemorate the bond they shared.

Between the two reliving their relationship and his friends’ dubious attitudes toward the pact, Aiden begins to question his decision to part ways. Unfortunately, in the trailer, Claire seems willing to keep their promise to her. She doesn’t believe that she can experience new things and become her own person if she is still attached to a previous relationship. In a heated argument, Aiden proclaims his love for Claire, and the two have to come to terms with the pain of such an overwhelming decision.
